Application Phase (Submission of documents as PDF):
Start: August 17, 2025
Deadline: September 21, 2025

Preliminary Round (Review by Hippodice editors):
Editors’ Phase: October 10, 2025
Evaluation Deadline: October 24, 2025
Notification to game designers: by October 31, 2025 at the latest

Submission of prototypes (by the authors):
October 24 – November 7, 2025

Main Round (Prototype testing phase):
November 7, 2025 – February 13, 2026

Final Round (Evaluation by expert jury & award ceremony):
March 13 and 14, 2026

New in the 2026 Competition:

  • Maximum of 3 submissions per author
  • Playtime: Your prototype may have a maximum of 90 minutes of actual playtime (excluding rule explanation). More information about playtime can be found in the FAQ.
